Akerreta - Bells

Several villages in the valleys of Esteribar and Erro keep some of the oldest bells of Navarre. Most of them don't ring anymore. They were not mechanized in the past and parallel to the loss oh inhabitants of the villages (Akerreta has a census of 9 inhabitants today), the churches also have lost their original function. It is worth remembering that the road of Santiago passes through all these villages. As listening to the bells (the drive is manual) and even approaching to them becomes impossible, this documentation intends to make a first approximation to these heritage.
