In 2007 the town's frontón (to play pelota) was moved. Before it was relocated on the outskirts of Beire (close to the school and the doctor's office), the original frontón was in the town square, using one of the walls of the Ezpeleta Palace. That old frontón became well known because unlike the usual structure (based on left side wall) this one had a wall on the right side. Some young people from another town play pelota (traditional hand ball game) while talking in basque.
