The small Pyrenean town of Auritz-Burguete celebrates its carnival (Igrauteak) for two days, Friday and Saturday. During the late-night of Saturday, several neighbors of all ages form parades across the main street of the town. While the bear and the monkey makes jokes, a group of girls dance a traditional stick dance. The recording captures the sound of the sticks while being beaten with the music.
