Lekunberri - Aitezarko's burning

The end of the official carnival programme of the Saturday is identified by the traditional burning of "Aitezarko", a traditional character, quite common in many carnivals, which is condemned to the stake. In Lekunberri, joaldunak are responsible for organizing this celebration, one of them carrying a torch in charge of undertaking the burning. The village children play hitting the newly burned (still burning) dummy head.
