Once the process of heating the metal pieces in the forge is finished, the blacksmith begins the process of shaping pieces of hot iron with a big hammer on the anvil, powered by a water flowing channel and accompanied by the blowing of the great bellows of the forge. We can listen to the audience, waiting for the thud of the hammer on the hot iron. And so, for a few minutes, until the piece gets almost twice the initial length. Then, they stop the large hydraulic mechanism, to start the step motion of the pistons of the bellows.
